Fire & Ice: Iceland, June 2009

Sherri and I decided to take advantage an unusual financial situation to visit a notoriously expensive country. Iceland's national bank recently filed for bankruptcy so their currency has lost at least 50% against the dollar. This made it affordable (though not cheap) to travel there in the Summer of 2009.

It was definitely worth it. Browse the pictures below to see some of the most breathtaking natural beauty anywhere in the world. I've divided the pictures by region of the country, but also have pages for activities, geographic features, and animals if you want to see all the pictures of those things (some good, others not so much). It's a work in progress, so if one the categories you're looking for is missing, check back later. Hope you enjoy them.
